Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute research experiments related to arbuscular mycorrhizae, plant
growth promotion, and soil microbiology
Isolate culture and maintain AM fungal inoculum under controlled conditions
Conduct greenhouse and field trials to evaluate AM fungi efficacy
Perform molecular, biochemical, and microscopic analyses (e.g., root colonization
studies)
Analyze experimental data using statistical tools and prepare technical reports
Write and publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals
Assist in drafting research proposals and project documentation
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Microbiology, Biotechnology or related field
Good research background in mycorrhizae, soil microbes, or plant–microbe
interactions
Proven track record of scientific publications
Required Skills:
Experience in tissue culture work, microbial propagation
Knowledge of microscopy techniques
Familiarity with molecular biology tools (PCR, DNA extraction, sequencing)
Statistical data analysis (e.g. SPSS or similar tools)
Strong scientific writing and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with field trials and agricultural applications of AM fungi
Knowledge of biofertilizer formulation
