The Emergency Medical Officer will serve as the frontline specialist in the Emergency Department (ED) and ICU, responsible for immediate assessment, stabilization, and treatment of acute, critical, or traumatized patients. This role requires high-level clinical decision-making, proficiency in trauma management.
- Emergency Care & Resuscitation: Provide immediate life-saving care, including advanced airway management, intubation, CPR, and ventilator management in the ED and ICU.
- Trauma Management: Manage multi-trauma victims, surgical emergencies, shock, sepsis, and respiratory failure.
- ICU Operations: Perform daily rounds with intensivists, manage ventilator parameters, and handle ICU protocols.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform ultrasound-guided procedures (FAST scan), central lines, arterial lines, and intercostal drainage.
- Diagnostics & Documentation: Initiate emergency diagnostic tests, interpret results, and maintain accurate documentation, including death summaries, DAMA, and discharge summaries.
- Rapid Response: Act as part of the "Code Blue" team, responding immediately to emergencies in the hospital.
- Triage: Assess and prioritize patients based on severity of illness (triage) in the ER.

Requirements
- Qualification: MBBS with mandatory specialized training (MEM, FEM, FICC, MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine).
- Experience: Previous Mninimum 2 years experience in ICU/Casualty/Trauma care preferred (2-5+ years).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications are highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, ability to handle high-stress situations, and rapid clinical decision-making.
Salary and Compensation
- Salary Range: Typical salaries for experienced EMOs range from ₹80,000-1,50,000 LPA for senior roles, depending on expertise.
