Position: Counter Sales Executive
Job Summary
The Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining product displays, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for customers. The role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products.
- Promote sweets, cakes, snacks, bakery items, and special offers.
- Achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Build positive relationships with regular customers.
Product Management
- Ensure shelves and display counters are fully stocked and attractive.
- Monitor product freshness and quality standards.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
- Inform supervisors about low stock levels and fast-moving items.
Billing & Cash Handling
- Assist customers during billing and payment processes.
- Handle cash, UPI, card payments, and vouchers accurately.
- Maintain proper records of transactions and sales activities.
Store Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the sales area.
- Ensure products are displayed according to company standards.
- Support stock receiving and inventory checks.
- Follow company policies and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Higher Secondary (12th Pass) or any Degree.
- Previous experience in retail, bakery, sweets shop, FMCG, or hospitality is preferred.
- Freshers with good communication skills may also apply.
Skills Required
- Customer service orientation.
- Sales and negotiation skills.
- Basic billing and POS knowledge.
- Good communication in Tamil (English knowledge is an added advantage).
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during festive seasons.
