Job Title: General Manager – Drone Operations

Job Summary
The General Manager – Drone Operations will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations, business development, and strategic growth of the drone business. The role involves managing drone operations, leading cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving revenue through new business opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, industrial inspection, mapping, and surveillance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the complete operations of the drone business.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand drone services and market presence.
- Lead and manage teams including drone pilots, technicians, sales, and operations staff.
- Ensure compliance with aviation and drone regulations (DGCA guidelines).
- Identify new business opportunities in agriculture, infrastructure, surveillance, and mapping sectors.
- Develop partnerships with government agencies, private companies, and clients.
- Monitor project execution, deployment planning, and operational efficiency.
- Manage budgets, financial planning, and cost control.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safety standards for all UAV equipment.
- Prepare operational reports and present performance updates to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA or relevant management qualification preferred.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in operations, aviation, drones, technology, or industrial sectors.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.
- Experience in drone operations, UAV technology, or aviation industry is highly preferred.
