Calibration Engineers/ Technicians:
- Equipment Inspection: Checking measurement and control devices for physical defects or signs of wear.
- Routine Calibration: Comparing readings with established industry standards and adjusting devices if they are inaccurate.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying faults in electronic, mechanical, or hydraulic instruments and performing necessary repairs.
- Record Keeping: Completing job cards, creating calibration certificates, and updating maintenance logs.
- Compliance: Ensuring all testing and laboratory standards meet regulatory requirements (such as ISO, NABL, or GMP).
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: A strong background in electronics, mechanical engineering, or instrumentation.
- Precision: High attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose equipment errors and define corrective actions.
- Tool Proficiency: The ability to use specialized calibration tools like multimeters, micrometers, pressure gauges, and deadweight testers.
- Education: Typically requires at least a high school diploma, with a vocational diploma, associate degree, or certification in instrumentation being highly preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year.
