About the Role
Legal Raasta Technologies Private Limited is looking for an experienced Corporate Advocate to independently manage litigation, legal recovery, commercial disputes, contract management, and corporate legal matters. The ideal candidate should possess strong courtroom experience, excellent legal drafting skills, and the ability to provide practical legal solutions aligned with business objectives.
Note: This position is strictly for a Corporate Litigation & Recovery Lawyer. Candidates having experience only in Bank/NBFC Recovery will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end litigation relating to civil, commercial, corporate, recovery, and criminal matters.
- Draft, review, and issue legal notices, demand notices, replies, recovery notices, legal opinions, petitions, affidavits, agreements, MOUs, and commercial contracts.
- Manage Section 138 (Cheque Bounce) cases from notice issuance to final disposal.
- File and handle recovery suits, execution proceedings, insolvency matters, arbitration cases, and commercial disputes.
- Represent the company before High Courts, District Courts, NCLT, DRT, Consumer Forums, Arbitration Tribunals, and other judicial or regulatory authorities.
- Handle legal proceedings under the SARFAESI Act, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC), and other recovery laws wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with external advocates, court officials, police authorities, government departments, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct legal due diligence and title verification of properties, assets, and corporate documents whenever required.
- Draft, vet, and negotiate commercial agreements including Service Agreements, Vendor Agreements, NDAs, Employment Contracts, Lease Agreements, Settlement Agreements, and other legal documents.
- Negotiate settlements, repayment plans, and out-of-court dispute resolutions to minimize litigation and financial exposure.
- Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to management on corporate, commercial, and operational matters.
- Monitor ongoing court cases, maintain litigation MIS, legal records, case trackers, and ensure timely compliance with court directions.
- Identify legal risks and recommend preventive measures to safeguard the company's interests.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate, commercial, labour, and regulatory laws.
- Liaise with government authorities, statutory departments, and regulatory agencies for legal matters.
- Support internal departments on legal documentation, compliance, recovery, contract interpretation, and dispute resolution.
- Conduct legal research on new laws, amendments, judicial precedents, and regulatory changes affecting the business.
- Handle all legal matters relating to debt recovery, property disputes, contractual disputes, corporate governance, and business operations.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Corporate Litigation, Commercial Laws, and Debt Recovery.
- Excellent legal drafting, contract vetting, and documentation skills.
- Sound knowledge of the Companies Act, Contract Act, Negotiable Instruments Act, CPC, CrPC, SARFAESI Act, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC), Arbitration & Conciliation Act, Consumer Protection Act, and other applicable laws.
- Excellent negotiation, advocacy, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple legal matters and court proceedings.
- Strong case management, legal research, and stakeholder management skills.
Candidate Profile
- LL.B. / B.A. LL.B. from a recognized university.
- Enrolment with the Bar Council is mandatory.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Corporate Legal, Litigation, Commercial Disputes, Recovery, and Legal Advisory.
- Prior experience in Corporate Houses, Manufacturing Companies, Legal Consultancy Firms, or Large Business Organizations will be preferred.
- Candidates having only Banking/NBFC Recovery experience are not eligible.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
