Job Summary
We are looking for a PHP (Laravel) developer with 2-4 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of PHP and Laravel framework, with proficiency in building efficient, scalable, and secure web applications. Responsibilities will include designing and implementing backend services, integrating external APIs, optimizing database queries, and ensuring high performance and reliability. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to collaborate effectively with the UI/UX team. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment are essential for success in this role.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain efficient, test-driven Laravel applications.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs using best practices in performance and security.
- Write clean, maintainable code following coding standards.
- Identify and fix performance bottlenecks to ensure fast, scalable applications.
- Work closely with PMs, Designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver solid solutions.
- Ensure test coverage through PHPUnit, Pest, or similar frameworks.
- Provide production-level support by debugging and resolving issues quickly.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work independently as an individual contributor, owning end-to-end delivery of specific modules/features within a project with minimal supervision.
- Track and organize tasks through project management tools, adhering to defined workflows and processes
Key Skills & Technical Expertise
Must Have
- Strong understanding of Laravel MVC, Eloquent ORM, queues (Redis/SQS), and Artisan CLI.
- Solid SQL skills (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including schema design and query optimization.
- Experience in writing unit test cases using PHPUnit, Pest, or similar framework
- Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger, Postman).
- Proficiency in Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience handling background jobs using Horizon, Supervisor, or similar tools.
- Understanding of microservices, event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS).
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with project management/issue-tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Trello, or similar)
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools (Claude, Cursor, or similar) to boost productivity
- Ability to engage with clients and confidently present demos
Good to Have
- Exposure to deploying applications using AWS, DigitalOcean, Heroku, or equivalent tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per month
