Bolla is a premier Wholesale and Retail Motor Fuel (MF) supplier in Metro New York and New Jersey areas. In addition, it also has a Transport department that hauls Motor Fuel in both New York and New Jersey areas.
Currently it operates close to 200 Retail Gas Stations with Convenience Stores (C-Stores) and supply MF to another 100 Wholesale Dealers with over a Billion dollars in revenues and employs over 1200 Team Members.
Besides the Motor Fuel business, Bolla is also into construction activity as well. We build Ultra-Modern and upscale Gas Stations with C-Stores.
Bolla partners with major food chains like Burger King, Tim Horton, Pizza Hut, and Subway.
Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and business analysis activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling daily P&L operations, recurring expense analysis, loss site analysis, EBITDA preparation, and MIS reporting including segment profitability, sales, and COGS analysis. The role requires strong financial acumen, analytical thinking, and advanced Excel and ERP knowledge to support management decision-making and business performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor daily P&L operational activities.
- Perform recurring expense analysis and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Conduct loss site analysis and highlight financial risk areas.
- Prepare and analyze EBITDA reports for management review.
- Prepare MIS and management reports including:
- Segment profitability reports
- Sales analysis reports
- COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) analysis
- Revenue and expense analysis
- Profitability and cost trend analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Perform variance analysis between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies in financial data.
- Coordinate with AP, AR, GL, and operational teams to ensure accuracy of financial information.
- Support audit requirements, statutory compliance, and internal control processes.
- Work extensively on Excel and ERP systems for reporting, analysis, and data management.
- Analyze business performance and provide actionable financial insights to management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Financial Analysis, MIS Reporting, or Finance Operations.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, P&L management, EBITDA, costing, and profitability analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, dashboards, and financial modeling.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage large datasets with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s a plus).
- 5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting (internships count).
- Basic understanding of financial statements & accounting principles.
- Professional certifications like CFA (L1), CPA, or CMA are a plus.
