A Quality Management System (QMS) Manager / Engineer for a fastener division oversees process compliance, product reliability, and standards like ISO 9001 or IATF 16949. Key duties involve managing documentation, running internal audits, handling customer-specific requirements for cold-forged or threaded components, and driving root-cause defect analysis
Core Responsibilities
- Standard Compliance: Maintain and update QMS documentation to satisfy ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 frameworks.
- Auditing: Plan and lead internal audits, supplier assessments, and external certification audits.
- Defect & Process Control: Monitor scrap, rework rates, and line rejections during cold forging or thread rolling.
- Core Quality Tools: Oversee APQP, PPAP submissions, FMEA updates, and control plans.
- Corrective Actions: Drive CAPA and 8D problem-solving methodologies for customer complaints.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical diploma).
- Experience: 3 to 7 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably within automotive fastener / Automibile Industry or precision machining production.
- Technical Skills: Strong grasp of blueprint reading, dimensional metrology, and core tools (SPC, MSA, PPAP).
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
