Job Title: Teacher cum Counsellor
The Indian Institute of Teachers Training (IITT) is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher cum Counsellor to join our team. This role combines academic instruction with student counselling and admissions support. The ideal candidate should be passionate about teaching, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to guide prospective students in choosing the right teacher training programmes.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching
- Deliver engaging and interactive sessions for teacher training programmes.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, and learning materials.
- Evaluate assignments, assessments, and student progress.
- Provide academic guidance and mentoring to student.
Counselling & Admissions
- Counsel prospective students regarding available teacher training courses.
- Handle admission enquiries through phone calls, walk-ins, WhatsApp, and online platforms.
- Explain course details, eligibility, certification, fees, and career opportunities.
- Follow up with prospective students to support the admission process.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, and admissions.
Student Support & Administration
- Build positive relationships with students throughout their learning journey.
- Coordinate with faculty and the administration team for smooth academic operations.
- Assist in workshops, seminars, orientation programmes, and promotional events as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation and counselling abilities.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, Email, Google Workspace).
- A positive, organised, and student-focused approach.
Preferred Experience
- experience in teaching, admissions, counselling, or academic coordination.
- Experience in teacher education, training institutes, colleges, or educational organisations will be an added advantage.
- Freshers with strong communication skills and a passion for education are welcome to apply.
