Job Description
The Software Architect for the Core Experience team is a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, building, and evolving isolved's next-generation user interface as part of a broader product modernization effort. This role focuses on transforming the core HCM experience by replacing legacy UI patterns with modern, responsive, and accessible interfaces, while establishing a scalable frontend architecture that translates experience goals into high-quality implementations, personally driving development and migration efforts. Leveraging AI-assisted development as a core practice, this role ensures seamless integrations between the frontend and evolving service architecture while delivering a consistent, performant, and maintainable user experience.
Core Job Duties
- Architecting modern, responsive UI components and patterns for isolved's core HCM product experience
- Driving the migration of legacy user interfaces to modern frontend frameworks as part of the Suite Experience modernization initiative

Establishing and maintaining UI architecture standards, component libraries, and design system integration patterns
- Building modernized product surfaces with a focus on performance, accessibility, and consistency, and elevating the team's frontend practices through code reviews, pairings, and leading by example
- Performing code reviews to ensure front-end implementations meet quality standards and follow established patterns
- Collaborating with product management and UX design to translate user experience requirements into scalable technical architectures
- Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in the UI layer, including load times, rendering performance, and client-side resource management
- Raising the bar on modern frontend development practices, state management patterns, and component-driven architecture across the team through code reviews and hands-on collaboration
- Using AI-assisted development tools, including agentic coding, spec-driven development, and AI-augmented code review, as a core part of your daily workflow to maximize velocity and code quality, and help establish AI-augmented development practices across the team
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience developing web applications and services, including 3+ years in cloud-native environments

Proficiency in Azure, .NET/C#, ASP.NET Core
- Strong experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (Angular preferred)

Expertise in component-driven UI architecture and scalable frontend design

Experience building responsive, accessible web applications

Solid understanding of SQL Server and backend integration patterns

Demonstrated use of AI assisted development tools in daily workflows

Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems
- Familiarity with design systems, state management, REST API integration, and front end testing
- Preferred: experience with PWAs, micro-frontends, performance optimization, accessibility standards (WCAG), or legacy modernization
