Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design and development of DG set containers with a focus on robust engineering and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee and guide a team of at least 10 design and engineering professionals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, electrical, and quality to ensure seamless integration of design to manufacturing.
- Drive the design and optimization of electrical control panels, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement assembly line processes and production tooling to enhance operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain detailed project roadmaps, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
- Apply structured root cause analysis methodologies to resolve design and production issues.
- Ensure designs adhere to risk management protocols, especially within medical device standards if applicable.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience working with DG set containers; candidates currently or previously associated with Kirloskar will be preferred.
- Solid understanding of electrical control panel design and integration.
- Hands-on experience in production process design, tooling, and assembly line optimization.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning and execution with detailed roadmaps.
- Proficiency in conducting structured root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram).
Technical & Leadership Skills (Hard Skills):
- Electro-mechanical design expertise.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (or equivalent 3D CAD software).
- Understanding of risk management design standards for medical devices is a plus.
- Proven team management skills, handling a team of 10+ engineers/designers.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
