Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues that arise within various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation across multiple platforms. The position demands continuous engagement with complex software environments to maintain system reliability and support business continuity, often requiring collaboration with different teams to address challenges effectively and efficiently.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues to minimize business disruption.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team capabilities.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP MM Materials Management.
- Strong understanding of inventory management processes and procurement cycles within enterprise resource planning systems.
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving issues related to material master data, purchase orders, and invoice verification.
- Ability to analyze system logs and error messages to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Familiarity with integration points between SAP MM and other modules such as Finance and Production Planning.
- Skilled in documenting technical solutions and maintaining knowledge bases to support ongoing system maintenance.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SAP MM Materials Management.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
