About the Role
Deol Properties LLC. is looking for a detail-oriented and highly responsible QA Analyst and Software Tester to help ensure the quality, reliability, security and usability of our growing portfolio of AI-native SaaS products.
Our products include multi-tenant business platforms, CRM systems, workflow automation, AI agents, communication tools, analytics, customer portals, administrative applications and third-party integrations.
This is not a position for someone who only follows basic test scripts. We need a QA professional who can understand business requirements, identify missing scenarios, challenge unclear acceptance criteria, investigate defects and verify complete end-to-end workflows before software is released.
The successful candidate will work remotely with our product, business analysis, design and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements and Test Planning
- Review business requirements, product specifications, user stories, wireframes and acceptance criteria.
- Identify incomplete, conflicting or unclear requirements before development begins.
- Prepare detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases and testing checklists.
- Build and maintain requirement-to-test-case traceability.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and release-readiness reviews.
- Estimate testing effort for features, releases and regression cycles.
Functional and Manual Testing
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity and exploratory testing.
- Test complete user journeys rather than isolated screens.
- Validate positive, negative, boundary and exception scenarios.
- Verify forms, fields, validations, calculations, filters, sorting, pagination, search and exports.
- Test dashboards, reports, notifications, user settings and administrative functions.
- Validate error messages, loading states, empty states and recovery behaviour.
- Test web applications across desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes.
API and Integration Testing
- Test REST APIs using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Validate request methods, parameters, headers, authentication, response codes and response payloads.
- Test successful, unsuccessful, unauthorized and malformed API requests.
- Verify API behaviour against documented business rules.
- Test integrations with third-party systems such as payment providers, messaging platforms, email, SMS, WhatsApp, calendars, CRMs, webhooks and AI services.
- Verify retry handling, timeout behaviour, duplicate prevention and integration failure recovery.
Database and Data Validation
- Use SQL to validate application data and investigate defects.
- Verify that frontend actions create or update the correct database records.
- Test data integrity, relationships, status transitions and audit history.
- Confirm tenant, organization, user and resource-level data isolation.
- Identify duplicate, incomplete, inconsistent or incorrectly mapped data.
- Validate imports, exports, migrations and bulk operations.
Multi-Tenant, Multi-Region and Role-Based Testing
- Test tenant creation, onboarding, configuration and suspension workflows.
- Verify that data belonging to one customer organization cannot be accessed by another.
- Test role-based access controls, permissions and navigation visibility.
- Validate platform administrator, organization administrator, manager, employee, partner, agency and customer roles.
- Confirm that unauthorized users cannot access restricted screens, records, APIs or actions.
- Test users who belong to multiple organizations or workspaces.
AI Feature Testing
- Test AI assistants, AI agents, chatbots, voice agents, summaries, recommendations and generated content.
- Verify that AI responses remain within the user’s permissions and tenant boundaries.
- Test incomplete, ambiguous, misleading and adversarial user inputs.
- Identify hallucinations, unsupported claims and inconsistent responses.
- Verify fallback behaviour when an AI provider or external service is unavailable.
- Validate prompts, response formatting, escalation workflows and human handoff processes.
- Confirm that sensitive or restricted data is not improperly exposed through AI-generated responses.
Automation Testing
- Create and maintain automated tests for important regression scenarios.
- Use tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
- Automate critical authentication, onboarding, permissions, workflow and transaction journeys.
- Review failed automated tests and distinguish application defects from unstable test scripts.
- Help integrate automated tests into the CI/CD process.
- Maintain reusable test data, fixtures and page objects.
- Recommend which test cases should remain manual and which should be automated.
Defect Management
- Report defects with clear titles, business impact, severity, priority and reproducible steps.
- Attach screenshots, screen recordings, logs, API responses and supporting evidence.
- Differentiate between defects, requirement gaps, usability issues and enhancement requests.
- Retest resolved defects and conduct regression testing around affected functionality.
- Track defects through closure and escalate release-blocking issues.
- Identify recurring defect patterns and recommend preventive improvements.
User Experience and Accessibility Testing
- Identify confusing workflows, unnecessary steps and inconsistent interface behaviour.
- Verify responsive design across supported screen sizes.
- Test keyboard navigation, focus order, labels, contrast and basic accessibility requirements.
- Validate consistency with approved Figma designs and product design standards.
- Report design deviations with clear visual comparisons.
Release and Production Quality
- Perform release-candidate validation before deployment.
- Maintain pre-release, post-release and production smoke-testing checklists.
- Verify that critical features remain operational after deployment.
- Assist with production issue reproduction and root-cause investigation.
- Provide a clear recommendation on whether a release is ready, conditionally ready or should be blocked.
- Maintain documented evidence of testing completed for each release.
