METAL FABRIKS INDIA PVT LTD is a Ludhiana-based company specialising in the hosiery needles manufacturing located near the military camp on GT Road, the company is a key player in manufacturing special purpose hosiery needles.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Die Fitter, based in Ludhiana, Punjab. The Die Fitter will be responsible for fitting, assembling, finishing, and maintaining dies used in blanking operations for sheet metal with thickness from 0.4 mm to 1 mm.
The role involves working on new die development in coordination with EDM operators, wire cut operators, and design teams. The candidate will ensure high accuracy in die fitting and blanking operation .
Key Responsibilities
- Perform die fitting and assembly for blanking operations
- Work on 0.5 mm sheet metal dies with high precision
- Finish dies ensuring accuracy and surface quality
- Assemble die components (punches, die blocks, guide pillars, plates)
- New die development
- Conduct trials and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain and repair dies to ensure continuous production
- Use measuring tools to maintain required tolerances
- Ensure workplace cleanliness and follow safety standards
Qualifications & Skills
- ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Tool & Die Making, or related field
- Experience in die fitting, blanking, and sheet metal work
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Strong focus on accuracy and detail
- Good problem-solving skills
