Job Summary
The Captain / Senior Captain is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the assigned restaurant, bar, banquet, or other F&B outlet. The role ensures excellent guest service, efficient team coordination, adherence to service standards, and achievement of guest satisfaction while maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Guest Service
- Welcome and escort guests courteously.
- Present menus and explain food, beverages, and daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Ensure prompt and efficient service throughout the guest's dining experience.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure guest satisfaction before departure.
- Promote upselling of menu items and beverages to maximize revenue.
Operational Responsibilities
- Supervise the assigned restaurant section during service.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings with service associates.
- Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and stewarding departments for smooth operations.
- Ensure proper mise-en-place before service.
- Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and table settings.
- Verify billing accuracy before presenting bills to guests.
- Ensure opening and closing checklists are completed.
- Monitor inventory of operating equipment and report shortages.
Team Leadership
- Supervise Stewards, Trainee Stewards, and Service Associates.
- Allocate duties and monitor employee performance.
- Train new employees on service standards and SOPs.
- Motivate team members to maintain high service quality.
- Ensure staff grooming and discipline standards are maintained.
Hygiene & Safety
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Follow hotel safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Report maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the assigned outlet.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain attendance and duty rosters (Senior Captain).
- Prepare requisitions for operating supplies.
- Maintain daily sales and operational records.
- Submit shift reports to the Restaurant Manager/F&B Manager.

Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management.
- Certification in Food & Beverage Service is an added advantage.
Experience
Captain
- 4–5 years of experience in Food & Beverage Service in a hotel or resort.
Senior Captain
- 6–7years of experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
