Position Overview
As the Assistant Manager – Vendor Relations, you will support the Vendor Relationship Manager in maintaining strong, strategic partnerships with our vendor network. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive sales performance, ensure seamless operations, and resolve issues efficiently. The role requires excellent communication, analytical thinking, and a proactive attitude toward continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and nurturing vendor relationships to ensure long-term engagement and trust.
- Support the development and execution of business plans for key vendors.
- Collaborate on sales target planning and help track vendor-wise sales performance.
- Monitor vendor performance metrics and prepare periodic reports for review.
- Support issue resolution across internal departments and vendor partners.
- Assist in negotiating commercial terms and onboarding new vendors.
- Coordinate with internal teams (pricing, listings, operations) for timely execution of vendor-related tasks.
- Support vendor onboarding team members in achieving monthly onboarding targets.
- Participate in market research to identify growth opportunities for both vendors and Whole9yards.
Qualifications
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in vendor management preferably in e-commerce or retail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Working knowledge of advance Excel and reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving ability and enthusiasm to learn and take initiative.
