Role Overview
As the Receptionist at Gravity Health Club, you'll be the heartbeat of our front desk — managing member check-ins, handling enquiries, and ensuring every visit starts on a great note. You'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional member experience from the moment they walk through the door.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in members and guests with a warm, professional welcome
- Handle phone, email, and in-person enquiries about memberships, classes, and facilities
- Process new membership sign-ups, cancellations, and account updates
- Manage class bookings and maintain accurate scheduling records
- Handle cash and card payments, issue receipts, and balance the till at end of shift
- Keep the reception area clean, organised, and stocked with relevant materials
- Liaise with personal trainers, instructors, and management to resolve member queries
- Monitor gym access and ensure compliance with club policies
- Assist with administrative tasks as required
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or administrative role (gym/fitness industry experience a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for health and fitness
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable using booking and membership software (training will be provided)
- Ability to multitask and stay calm during busy periods
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
