Sales Manager – School Loans (Direct Sales)
The Sales Manager – School Loans (Direct Sales) is responsible for driving business growth by sourcing school loan opportunities through direct engagement with educational institutions. The role focuses on building a strong pipeline by identifying, onboarding, and nurturing relationships with private schools, school chains, trusts, and education societies.
The incumbent will proactively conduct field visits to meet school promoters, trustees, principals, and management teams to understand their funding requirements related to infrastructure development, expansion, working capital, or asset acquisition. The Sales Manager will position tailored school loan solutions, explain product features, pricing, and terms, and guide customers through the end-to-end loan process.
Key responsibilities include generating leads through direct market mapping, cold visits, referrals, and local networking, ensuring achievement of disbursement and revenue targets. The role requires close coordination with credit, legal, and operations teams to facilitate timely collection of documents, preliminary credit assessment, loan sanctioning, and disbursement. The Sales Manager will also support credit teams by providing on-ground insights into the school’s operations, reputation, and cash flow dynamics.
Post-disbursement, the Sales Manager will maintain ongoing relationships with schools to ensure customer satisfaction, monitor repayment behavior, and identify repeat or cross-sell opportunities. Ensuring portfolio quality, adherence to internal policies, and compliance with regulatory guidelines is a critical aspect of the role.
The ideal candidate should have strong relationship management skills, knowledge of education-sector lending, and hands-on experience in direct sales within NBFCs, banks, or fintech lending organizations.
