Position Summary
MAIN DUTIES :
- implements production and operational strategies aligned with corporate, group, regional, and product strategies.
- Provides leadership in consolidation, and development of our global operational base; Builds relationships across global manufacturing requirements.
- implements procedures and metrics to evaluate as per global standards and domestically. Evaluates information pertaining to Operational program success and effectiveness.
- Manages overall strategic production planning practices; Executes best strategies during major outsourcing projects.
Implements a lean approach to materials management including material flow and inventory control; Completes demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure products at higher productivity rate; Establishes and implements standard manufacturing procedures.
- Analysis inventories and develops and executes plans to reduce DSI; Responsible for DSI and related metrics.
- Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, performance management, talent management, and individual development.
- Monitor the quantity and quality of Products and ensure that standard systems are properly maintained.
Ensure the lean activities and ISO system to be followed in the department and daily update of Team improvement
boards.
- Monitor customer commitments on daily basis and review the needs from time to time.
- Ensure and monitor supplier RPPM and OTD to be achieved by target fixed by the division and corporate. Ensure all manufacturing metrics to be met as per goals.
- Organize and conduct operational training based on requirements.
- Process and time study of various processes and take improvement projects, HPT project and drive and execution of project for good quality and productivity.
- Daily and monthly M.I.S. for productivity, rejections, and wastages and take corrective actions.
- Coordinate and communicate with all functional depts. For desired target set by organization.
- Imparting training to manufacturing team including workmen for better quality and productivity.
- Ensuring safety at all levels at manufacturing shop floor, including identifying & reducing / eliminating unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and at-risk behaviors. Maintaining Goal Zero of accidents.
Responsibilities
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Technical support to vendors based on experience in metal cutting.
- Technical support over plating process to vendor
- New product Design, Drawing and Development with support of Auto-cad.
-DSI (days of sales - reduce inventory)
- Lean Manufacturing and value stream mapping
- Productivity improvement plans and execution through HPT and Kaizens
-Customer Service - Total of Line Items Shipped to Customers (LISC);
- Supplier Quality and Delivery (RPPM & OTD)
- Monitor raw material aging for the control of Non /slow moving inventory.
- COPQ and Focus on FPY by process improvements.
