Job Description – Assistant Professor (Mental Health / Psychiatric Nursing)
Position: Assistant Professor – Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing subjects to undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and conduct classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching sessions.
- Supervise and guide students during psychiatric clinical postings in hospitals and mental health care settings.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, practical assessments, and clinical evaluations.
- Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and departmental activities.
- Conduct research, publish scholarly articles, and contribute to academic and professional development activities.
- Organize seminars, workshops, awareness programs, and continuing nursing education activities related to mental health.
- Maintain academic records and ensure compliance with institutional and Nursing Council regulations.
- Mentor and counsel students regarding academic and professional growth.
- Attend faculty meetings, conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs.
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. Nursing with specialization in Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing.
- Valid Nursing Council registration.
- Teaching and/or clinical experience preferred.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric and mental health nursing practices.
- Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to supervise clinical training and mentor students.
- Research and academic writing skills.
- Strong organizational and counseling abilities
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
