Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented Design Engineer to design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPM), automation equipment, fixtures, and machine assemblies. The candidate should have strong knowledge of mechanical design concepts, machine components, and manufacturing processes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop SPM machines, automation systems, jigs, fixtures, and machine assemblies.
- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar CAD software.
- Create assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and manufacturing documents.
- Coordinate with production, assembly, electrical, and automation teams during machine development.
- Select suitable machine components such as motors, gearboxes, cylinders, sensors, and linear motion systems.
- Support machine assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
- Modify and improve existing machine designs based on customer requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with quality and safety standards.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions with customers and internal teams.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design and Machine Design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication, machining, and assembly.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems and automation components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualification:
- Diploma / B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering
- Freshers with good CAD knowledge can apply.
- Experience in SPM, Automation, Machine Building, or Manufacturing Industries is preferred.
