About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and socially aware Community Page Manager to manage our social media page focused on the Tricity region. The ideal candidate should stay updated on local social and civic issues, create engaging content, interact with the community, and ensure timely coverage of important developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on daily social, civic, and community issues across Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging posts, reels, stories, and updates on social media platforms.
- Verify information before publishing to ensure accuracy and credibility.
- Cover local events, public initiatives, traffic updates, civic developments, and community stories.
- Respond to comments and messages professionally while fostering positive community engagement.
- Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, and citizens to gather authentic information.
- Track social media performance and recommend strategies to improve reach and engagement.
- Ensure all content adheres to ethical journalism and platform guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and audience engagement.
- Excellent written and spoken English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
- Strong research, fact-checking, and communication skills.
- Basic photography, videography, and mobile content creation skills.
- Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, and video editing tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to breaking local news.
