Job Overview
Skylink Fibernet Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Fiber Network Installation Lead to manage and lead a team of Fiber Installation Engineers and Technicians. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising fiber network installation projects while ensuring high-quality service delivery, timely project completion, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Fiber Network Installation Engineers and Technicians.
- Plan and assign daily installation schedules to field teams.
- Oversee FTTH, FTTB, enterprise, and leased-line fiber installations.
- Coordinate fiber cable laying, splicing, termination, testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct site surveys and provide technical guidance during installations.
- Ensure installation work complies with company quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, NOC, and Support teams for smooth project execution.
- Troubleshoot installation-related issues and support field engineers.
- Monitor project progress and ensure installations are completed within agreed timelines.
- Maintain installation reports, daily work updates, and documentation.
- Manage installation materials, tools, and inventory.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of installation team members.
- Handle customer escalations professionally and ensure excellent service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in Fiber Optic Network Installation.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading field installation teams.
- Strong understanding of FTTH, GPON, ODN, Fiber Optic Cable (OFC), and enterprise connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with Fusion Splicer, OTDR, Optical Power Meter, and fiber testing equipment.
- Knowledge of routers, switches, OLTs, ONTs/ONUs, and basic IP networking.
- Willingness to travel for field operations.
- Valid driving license is preferred.
