We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and dedicated Botany Faculty to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have strong conceptual knowledge of Botany and a passion for teaching and inspiring students. The candidate should be capable of delivering engaging lessons, conducting practical sessions, and creating a curiosity-driven learning environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Delivery
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality and engaging Botany lessons according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Explain concepts clearly using appropriate examples, diagrams, models, and digital learning tools.
- Ensure effective coverage of the syllabus within the academic schedule.
Practical & Laboratory Sessions
- Conduct and supervise Botany practical sessions and laboratory activities.
- Demonstrate specimens, slides, experiments, and other practical concepts effectively.
- Ensure proper laboratory discipline and safety procedures.
Student Assessment
- Prepare formative and summative assessments, question papers, assignments, and class tests.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain academic records.
- Provide constructive feedback and support students in improving their performance.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and student-friendly classroom environment.
- Encourage active participation, questioning, and scientific thinking among students.
Differentiated Instruction
- Identify individual learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Provide additional academic support to students who require improvement.
Academic Collaboration
- Participate in departmental meetings and academic planning.
- Collaborate with senior faculty members in curriculum development and academic activities.
- Contribute to science exhibitions, seminars, academic events, and other institutional programmes.
Student Mentoring
- Guide and mentor students in their academic development.
- Support students in preparing for competitive examinations where applicable.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular academic guidance.
Required Qualifications & SkillsCriteriaSpecificationEducationBachelor's Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Botany as a major/specialization. M.Sc. Botany is preferred.Teaching QualificationB.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.ExperienceMinimum 2+teaching experience preferred.
