As a Tax Manager with the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax team, you will focus on assisting with tax integration for acquisitions, divestitures, and legal entity restructurings.

The Tax Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions Tax, will play a critical role within the Global Tax organization by leading all tax-related aspects of post-merger and post-acquisition integration activities. This position is responsible for ensuring seamless integration of acquired entities into GlobalFoundries' tax operations, processes, systems, compliance framework, and reporting environment. The successful candidate will partner with internal tax teams, finance stakeholders, and external advisors to drive operational excellence, support strategic transactions, and advance tax transformation initiatives through automation, digitization, and continuous process improvement.
- Lead all tax aspects of post-merger and post-acquisition integration activities within the global tax function.
- Develop and execute comprehensive tax integration plans for newly acquired companies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Oversee the seamless consolidation of tax processes, systems, compliance requirements, and reporting obligations into the parent organization with minimal operational disruption.
- Develop, maintain, and manage audit-ready implementation and integration documentation.
- Collect, analyze, organize, and summarize large volumes of financial and tax-related data into meaningful insights and actionable reporting.
- Establish data requirements, reporting frameworks, and information governance standards supporting tax operations and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with corporate tax, accounting, finance, legal, business leadership, and external tax advisors to support integration and restructuring initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes through automation, digitization, and implementation of technology-enabled solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize deliverables, monitor project milestones, and communicate progress and outcomes to leadership.
- Develop, coach, train, and mentor junior tax professionals while fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related business discipline.
- MBA or equivalent advanced business education preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting tax integration activities related to acquisitions, divestitures, legal entity restructurings, or complex business transformations.
- Broad understanding of tax accounting principles and major direct and indirect tax processes.
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to work successfully in cross-functional and geographically diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to perform under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to support U.S. time zone working hours (approximately 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST).
- Experience with a Big Four accounting firm or a leading tax consulting organization.
- MBA, Master of Taxation, or other relevant advanced degree.
- Experience implementing or leveraging tax technology, automation tools, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated success leading process improvement projects and operational efficiency programs within a global tax function.
- Experience supporting multinational organizations with complex cross-border tax operations.
- Strong proficiency with data analytics, reporting tools, and process optimization methodologies.
