Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead and drive sales growth, develop strategic partnerships, and manage overall sales operations within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the FMCG landscape, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute city-level sales strategies in alignment with company goals.
- Identify growth opportunities and implement actionable plans to expand market share.
- Define and set clear sales targets and KPIs for the city sales team.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team to achieve desired results.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback during sales meetings.
Market Development and Client Acquisition:
- Drive retailer acquisition efforts to expand the client base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners for sustained growth.
- Monitor market trends, competition, and client needs to refine strategies.
Revenue Growth and Target Achievement:
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets are consistently achieved.
- Identify and leverage new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Track and optimize sales pipelines to improve conversion rates.
Operational Oversight:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (operations, logistics, marketing) to ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of sales performance, forecasts, and market insights.
- Address and resolve escalated client issues to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Financial Management:
- Oversee city-level sales budgets and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Analyze sales data to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance revenue streams.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in FMCG or B2B platforms.
- Strong understanding of the FMCG market and supply chain operations.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
