Job Description – B.Sc. Anesthesia Technologist

Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate B.Sc. Anesthesia Technologist to join our Operation Theatre team. The candidate will assist anesthesiologists in providing safe and efficient anesthesia care by preparing equipment, supporting anesthesia procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative period.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and check anesthesia machines, monitors, and airway equipment before surgical procedures.
- Assist the anesthesiologist during induction, maintenance, and recovery from anesthesia.
- Ensure the availability of anesthesia drugs, consumables, and emergency equipment.
- Monitor the functioning of anesthesia equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure patient safety standards are followed.
- Assist with airway management and invasive monitoring as directed by the anesthesiologist.
- Maintain records of anesthesia equipment, consumables, and inventory.
- Coordinate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and OT staff for smooth surgical workflow.
- Participate in emergency procedures and code blue situations when required.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Anesthesia Technology (Mandatory).
- Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
- Good knowledge of anesthesia equipment and OT protocols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, weekends, and emergency duties.
Preferred Skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to quality patient care and safety.
