Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Pharmacist to join our hospital team. The candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, maintaining pharmacy records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, and providing medication-related guidance to patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately as per doctor's orders.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications.
- Maintain proper inventory of medicines, consumables, and pharmacy supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with vendors for procurement.
- Ensure proper storage of medicines as per regulatory and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain records of narcotic, high-alert, and controlled drugs.
- Assist doctors and nursing staff with medication-related information.
- Counsel patients regarding medication usage, dosage, and precautions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and statutory regulations.
- Monitor expiry dates and arrange timely disposal of expired medicines.
- Prepare pharmacy reports and maintain documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- B.Pharm / D.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid Pharmacy Council Registration.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications may also apply.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and medical terminology.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer knowledge and pharmacy software handling.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Team-oriented approach and professional conduct.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in hospital pharmacy settings.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and documentation.
- Candidates from Ahmedabad will be preferred.
