Job Description
Job Title: Automation Cum Electrical Engineer – Allen Bradley, Siemens (AB & Siemens PLC, SCADA & Electrical Systems Expert)
Location: Pithampur
Job Summary:
To lead and manage Allen Bradley & Siemens–based automation and electrical systems, ensuring optimal machine performance, electrical reliability, safety compliance, minimal downtime, and providing technical expertise in the development and execution of new automation and electrical projects using AB & Siemens PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, LT panels, MCCs, and industrial power distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities-
Allen Bradley Systems Expertise:
Programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Allen Bradley PLCs (CompactLogix, ControlLogix), HMIs (FactoryTalk View ME/SE), and SCADA systems.
Support and maintain VFDs (Power Flex series) and communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP.
Electrical System Management:
Maintain and troubleshoot LT panels, MCCs, PCCs, APFC panels, control panels, and machine electrical systems.
Monitor and maintain electrical distribution systems, power quality, and energy consumption.
Handle electrical breakdown maintenance and ensure quick restoration of production equipment.
Ensure proper earthing, cable management, electrical safety interlocks, and protection systems.
Coordinate with utility and maintenance teams for shutdown activities and power management.
Install Base Management:
Perform preventive maintenance, health checks, and optimization of AB automation systems.
Maintain firmware version control, software backup management, and system reliability.
Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance for electrical equipment and automation systems.
Automation Engineer / Sr. Engineer
Project Execution Support:
Assist in planning, design, and execution of automation projects involving AB hardware/software.
Support hardware selection, IO mapping, FAT/SAT, and validation activities.
Support electrical project execution including panel installation, cable routing, field wiring, and commissioning.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for electrical and automation project activities.
System Integration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration with third-party systems (MES, Energy Monitoring).
Manage integration with SQL/ODBC or cloud-based data platforms.
Integrate automation systems with electrical equipment such as VFDs, soft starters, sensors, and energy meters.
Continuous Improvement:
Analyze downtime reports and recommend technical improvements for system performance enhancement.
Lead upgrade projects for legacy Allen Bradley systems.
Identify opportunities for energy saving, electrical reliability improvement, and maintenance cost reduction.
Documentations Training:
Develop and maintain SOPs, IO lists, logic descriptions, and electrical schematics for AB systems.
Maintain electrical drawings, panel layouts, cable schedules, and equipment documentation.
Conduct training sessions for plant electricians and maintenance teams.
Qualifications s Skills Required Education:
B.E. / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics
Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Allen Bradley PLC/SCADA domain and industrial electrical maintenance.

Technical Skills:
Expertise in RSLogix5000 / Studio5000
Hands-on experience with FactoryTalk View ME/SE
Exposure to Powerflex VFDs, Ethernet/IP, and industrial networks
Strong knowledge of PLC panels, MCCs, PCCs, APFC panels, and control panel wiring
Knowledge of electrical drawings, panel design, cable sizing, and troubleshooting
Experience in industrial power distribution and machine electrical maintenance
Strong knowledge of PID, IO mapping, and panel design
Experience with SCADA report generation and data logging via OPC/SQL
Understanding of electrical safety standards and preventive maintenance practices
