POSITION OVERVIEW

The Instrumentation & Control Specialist plays a dual role, working on both quotation and project teams. In the quotation phase, the I&C Engineer collaborates with sales, estimating, and customers to design systems and specify components that meet customer needs. On project teams, the I&C Engineer provides technical leadership to ensure overall design requirements and function are achieved, while supporting project execution, commissioning, and customer training.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quotation Support

Collaborate with sales and estimating staff to design potential systems.
Prepare or approve preliminary design documents including instrument list, motor list, control schematics and any other document related to project estimation, .
Perform and document engineering calculations for proposed systems.
Review and approve quotations/contracts as they pertain to process operation and scope.

Design & Engineering

Design safe and effective systems and components to customer and contractual specifications.
Generation of instrument list, instrument specifications, motor list, MCC specifications, cables & cable tray specifications
Design & engineering of PLC & RIO panels
Floating RFQs to vendors and reviewing vendor quotes

Provide critical design reviews and approvals at project milestones.
Approve process drawings, general arrangements, and operator interface screens from Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation point of view.

Project Execution

Guide and support project engineers on Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation design matters.
FAT of panels & other equipment
Assist commissioning activities for assigned projects.
Guide the electrical contractors for site planning & work allocation
Ensure necessary project information (drawings, updates, documentation) is completed and provided to the appropriate internal departments.

Customer Relationship & Communication

Serve as a technical resource for customers, building cooperative and professional relationships.
Communicate process specifications and design details clearly to internal staff and customers.
Provide timely technological support and advice as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control or a related field.

Experience: 15+ years of experience in the food, beverage, FMCG or dairy process industry.

Technical Knowledge: Strong background in Power & Control design, instrument sizing & selection, electricals , and system commissioning.

Skills:

Results-oriented with strong analytical abilities
Clear and effective communication skills
Project management capability
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
