- Provide primary care: Offer first-aid and medical treatment for day-to-day illnesses and workplace injuries. Treat common ailments such as respiratory infections, allergies, and minor injuries.
- Manage medical emergencies: Act as the first responder for medical emergencies within the workplace, stabilizing employees and coordinating with external medical services for transportation if required.
- Conduct medical examinations: Perform pre-employment, periodic, and exit medical examinations for all employees, with a specific focus on ensuring the comfort and privacy of staff.
- Address employee health: Provide a dedicated and confidential space for employees to discuss health concerns, including reproductive health issues, and offer guidance.
- Handle workplace injuries: Investigate workplace accidents and injuries to identify causes and advise management on preventive measures.
Occupational health and safety
- Ensure statutory compliance: Oversee and maintain compliance with provisions of the Factories Act and other relevant health and safety regulations.
- Advise on workplace safety: Conduct regular workplace assessments and factory visits to identify potential health hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain confidentiality: Handle all employee medical information with the utmost confidentiality in accordance with medico-legal requirements and company policy.
- Coordinate with management: Liaise with the Human Resources and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) teams to improve overall workplace health and safety standards.
Health education and wellness
- Organize health programs: Plan and implement health awareness campaigns and wellness programs on topics such as nutrition, stress management, ergonomics, and gender-specific health issues.
- Provide counseling: Offer health education and counseling to employees on preventive care and lifestyle modifications.
- Administer immunizations: Manage and administer vaccination programs for employees.
Administrative duties
- Manage OHC operations: Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the clinic, including managing medical supplies, inventory, and equipment.
- Maintain records: Ensure accurate and updated electronic and physical medical records for all employees are maintained.
- Supervise OHC staff: Guide and supervise supporting staff, including nurses and paramedics.
Required skills and qualificationsEducation and licensing
- Medical degree: MBBS from a recognized institution approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
- Licensing: Valid registration with the MCI or State Medical Council.
- Specialization (preferred): Diploma in Industrial Health or Occupational Health.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
