Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile All-Rounder Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should be capable of preparing a wide variety of dishes across different cuisines, manage kitchen operations, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure food quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
- Work across multiple cuisine types (e.g., Indian, Chinese, Continental, etc.).
- Ensure all food is prepared to high-quality standards and in a timely manner.
- Plan menus and assist in creating new recipes or specials.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and supervise junior cooks or helpers.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Control portion sizes and minimize food wastage.
- Assist in cost control and managing kitchen budget when required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a chef or cook in a commercial kitchen (minimum 3–5 years).
- Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking techniques.
- Ability to handle multiple kitchen stations (grill, fry, prep, etc.).
- Good organizational and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification (preferred).
