We are looking for a proactive and analytical Operational Manager & Analyst to oversee day-to-day operations and drive continuous improvement within our UK based window manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges, improving efficiency, and using data to make informed business decisions.
You will work closely with management and production teams to streamline processes, monitor performance, implement lean manufacturing practices, and ensure operational excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimise production processes.
- Monitor and analyse operational KPIs, preparing regular reports and dashboards for management.
- Identify process bottlenecks and recommend practical solutions to improve efficiency and output.
- Oversee daily factory operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely production.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across departments.
- Work closely with production, procurement, inventory, and quality teams to improve coordination.
- Analyse production data, labour efficiency, downtime, and overall operational performance.
- Support capacity planning, workflow optimisation, and resource allocation.
- Drive continuous improvement projects and monitor implementation.
- Ensure operational compliance with company standards and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, production management, or business analysis.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, KPI monitoring or Continuous Improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting tools is an advantage.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to interpret data and convert insights into actionable improvements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in manufacturing or factory operations is preferred.
