Position: Civil Engineer – Solar Plant Construction
Job Location: Greenvelnatham Village, Thiruvallur District
Experience: 3–5 Years
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month
Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Civil Engineer to oversee the civil construction activities of our solar power plant project. The candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring the timely execution of all civil works while maintaining quality, safety, and project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor all civil construction activities at the solar plant site.
- Execute foundation works for module mounting structures (MMS), inverter rooms, control rooms, and other project facilities.
- Coordinate earthwork, grading, road construction, drainage, fencing, and cable trench activities.
- Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely completion of work.
- Verify measurements and certify contractor bills.
- Maintain daily site progress reports, material records, and work documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, electrical engineers, surveyors, consultants, and contractors.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with project quality standards.
- Implement and monitor site safety practices in coordination with the EHS team.
- Resolve technical issues encountered during construction.
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in solar power, industrial, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
- Knowledge of civil construction methods, quality standards, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOQs.
- Experience in contractor management and site execution.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and AutoCAD is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in solar power plant construction.
- Knowledge of foundation layout and survey coordination.
- Ability to prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
