We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer & Setter to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating CNC programs, setting up CNC machines, selecting tooling, optimizing machining processes, and ensuring that components are produced accurately and efficiently according to engineering drawings and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify CNC programs for milling and turning machines.
- Set up CNC machines, including fixtures, tools, and work offsets.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
- Perform first-off inspections and make necessary program or setup adjustments.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure product quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimize downtime.
- Optimize cycle times while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company procedures.
- Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine documentation.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- Diploma/ITI or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Machining Technology.
- 3–8 years of experience as a CNC Programmer & Setter.
- Proficiency in CNC programming for Milling and/or Turning machines.
- Knowledge of G & M codes and CAM software is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Haas, or similar CNC controls.
- Strong understanding of cutting tools, machining parameters, and precision measurement instruments.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with VMC, HMC, CNC Turning Centers, or Multi-Axis Machines.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, NX CAM, or PowerMill.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
