Customer Service Executive – Freight Forwarding

Job Overview
As a Senior Customer Service Executive, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing end-to-end ocean and air freight shipments, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction for both local clients and overseas partners. You will play a key role in operations, customer communication, and profitability management.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and handle international shipments (air & ocean) on a door-to-door basis
- Prepare accurate transport documentation, quotations, and shipment updates for customers
- Maintain high data accuracy in transport and tracking systems
- Actively participate in rate negotiations with carriers, agents, and subcontractors
- Monitor shipment file profitability and take proactive steps to improve gross profit per job
- Generate and manage reports for key customers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure claims are handled efficiently in line with company policies and procedures
- Support the accounting team in the dunning and payment follow-up process
- Build strong relationships with customers and overseas partners
- Uphold company image and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding (UAE market preferred)
- Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, customer-focused, and proactive attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
