Key Responsibilities
- Material Transfer & Loading/Unloading: Safely execute the bulk loading and unloading of chemical tankers, ISO tanks, and drums. Perform precise valve line-ups for product transfers between storage tanks and production plants.
- Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor tank levels, temperatures, pressures, and flow rates. Maintain accurate logs and reports of tank status and material inventory.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and environmental guidelines to prevent chemical leaks, spills, or operational hazards.
- Quality & Sampling: Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team to collect bulk chemical samples from tanks for density, purity, and quality checks before unloading or transferring.
- Housekeeping & Upkeep: Maintain excellent housekeeping, safety signage, and overall upkeep of the tank farm area, including dyke walls and manifold systems.
- Emergency Response: Promptly identify hidden hazards or process deviations and act immediately according to fire-fighting, spill-containment, and emergency response strategies.
Job Requirements
- Educational Qualification: ITI (AOCP / MMCP) or B.Sc. in Chemistry / Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in tank farm operations, bulk chemical handling, or chemical/petrochemical terminal operations.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with centrifugal/pumps operation, manifold valve lining, storage tank safety valves, and safety equipment (PPE, SCBA, fire monitors).
