We are seeking an experienced Operations & Plant Head to take full ownership of our manufacturing facility — from production and logistics to stores and workforce management. This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives on end-to-end accountability, can make high-stakes plant decisions independently, and has a proven track record of running efficient, compliant, and people-first factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
Factory & Plant Operations
- Oversee complete day-to-day plant operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently met
- Take ownership of all critical plant-level decisions, including resource allocation, process changes, and operational escalations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and minimize rejection/alteration ratios
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and company policies across the facility
Production Management
- Lead production planning and control (PPC) to ensure smooth workflow from raw material to finished goods
- Coordinate across cutting, manufacturing, finishing, and QC functions to maintain consistent output and quality
- Monitor production KPIs and implement corrective actions to address bottlenecks or delays
Logistics & Stores
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely material availability and on-time dispatch
- Manage stores and inventory operations, ensuring accurate stock control, minimal wastage, and efficient warehouse practices
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and transporters to ensure supply chain continuity
People & HR Management
- Manage full employee lifecycle at the plant level, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and termination decisions
- Handle employee grievances promptly and fairly, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Build, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams; drive a culture of accountability and continuous development
- Manage manpower planning to ensure adequate staffing across all shifts and departments
Reporting & Coordination
- Ensure all department heads (Production, Logistics, Stores, QA/HR) report directly and maintain clear communication with plant leadership
- Provide regular operational reports and updates to senior management
- Represent the plant in audits, vendor visits, and leadership reviews
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive experience in factory/plant operations, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Factory Head, Plant Head, or Operations Head)
- Experience in Garment Manufacturing, E-commerce Fulfilment, or Outdoor/Protective Covers industries strongly preferred
- Proven experience managing production, logistics, and stores functions simultaneously
- Strong background in team leadership, manpower management, and employee relations, including hiring and disciplinary decisions
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and reduce operational inefficiencies
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and crisis-management skills
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Bachelor's degree required; additional certifications in operations, quality, or management preferred
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
