Chartered Accountant – Finance Operations, Compliance, Consolidation Support & Reconciliations

Role Overview
We are looking to hire a recently qualified Chartered Accountant with 0–1 year post-qualification experience for client-facing finance, accounting, compliance and reporting assignments. The role will support accounting operations, reconciliations, month-end close, compliance data preparation, audit documentation, consolidation workings and MIS support for client entities.
The candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, good Excel skills, willingness to work on ERP systems and the ability to support senior team members in recurring finance and reporting deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting and Month-End Support
- Support monthly books closure for client entities.
- Prepare workings for accruals, prepayments, provisions, depreciation and other month-end entries.
- Assist in preparation / validation of journal entries.
- Review ledger balances and identify unusual or pending items.
- Assist in preparation of trial balance, P&L and balance sheet schedules.
2. Reconciliations
- Prepare bank reconciliations, AR / AP reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and GL account reconciliations.
- Track open reconciliation items and coordinate for closure.
- Assist in reviewing ageing reports, advances, vendor balances, customer balances and other open items.
- Maintain reconciliation files with proper supporting documents.
3. Consolidation Support
- Assist in preparation of consolidation workings and group reporting schedules.
- Support intercompany balance matching and reconciliation.
- Assist in preparing elimination schedules and related supporting workings.
- Collate entity-wise financial data and supporting documents for consolidation.
- Support senior team members in responding to consolidation-related audit / review queries.
4. Compliance Support
- Assist in GST and TDS data preparation, working files and reconciliations.
- Support GSTR-2B vs books reconciliation, TDS payable workings and compliance trackers.
- Assist in income-tax, audit and other statutory data collation requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants and internal teams for compliance-related queries.
- Maintain due-date checklists and supporting documents.
5. Audit Documentation
- Prepare audit schedules, supporting workings and PBC files.
- Collate invoices, ledgers, bank statements, contracts, confirmations and other supporting documents.
- Track auditor queries and assist in timely responses.
- Support statutory audit, tax audit, internal audit and other review processes.
- Maintain organised audit documentation folders.
6. MIS and Reporting Support
- Assist in preparation of monthly MIS, cost schedules, revenue analysis, working capital summaries and cash flow workings.
- Update recurring reporting templates.
- Assist senior team members in variance analysis and management reporting.
- Prepare supporting schedules for client review meetings.
7. ERP and Data Support
- Work on ERP / accounting systems such as Microsoft Business Central, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Zoho, TallyPrime or similar platforms.
- Download ledgers, reports and supporting data from ERP systems.
- Assist in entry review, ledger analysis and reconciliation preparation.
- Support process notes and documentation for recurring tasks.
8. Client and Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with client finance teams for data, clarifications and supporting documents.
- Work with senior team members to maintain deliverable trackers and open-item lists.
- Follow up on pending items and escalate delays appropriately.
- Support multiple client assignments, as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 0–1 year post-qualification experience.
- Strong accounting fundamentals and understanding of financial statements.
- Basic knowledge of consolidation workings, intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries will be preferred.
- Basic knowledge of GST, TDS, audit schedules and statutory compliance.
- Good Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups and reconciliation workings.
- Willingness to work on ERP / accounting systems.
- Prior articleship or work exposure in audit, accounting, consolidation, GST, TDS or finance operations preferred.
- Good documentation and follow-up discipline.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a client-facing role.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a recently qualified CA who is keen to build experience in finance operations, outsourced accounting, consolidation support, compliance, reporting and audit support. The person should be disciplined, hands-on, comfortable with detailed working files and willing to take ownership of recurring accounting and reconciliation tasks.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
