Job Summary:
We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator / Buyer to support procurement operations in a manufacturing environment. The role involves purchase execution, supplier coordination, follow-ups, and ensuring timely material availability for production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase indents from planning/production team
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs)
- Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials
- Coordinate dispatch schedules, shortages, and delays
- Maintain purchasing data in ERP system
- Coordinate with stores for material receipt and documentation
- Track pending orders and support vendor performance monitoring
Preferred Material Exposure:
Castings, Forgings, Machined Components, Rubber/Elastomer, Industrial Bought-Out Items
Qualification:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Production, Supply Chain, or related field
Experience:
- 1 to 3 years in Purchase / Procurement / Supply Chain
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
Skills Required:
- Basic understanding of purchase process & supplier follow-ups
- ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle, SourcePro or similar preferred)
- Good communication & coordination skills
- MS Excel & documentation knowledge
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills
