Backend Developer – Python/ Django
We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong hands-on experience in Python, with good knowledge of Django and REST APIs. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of backend development, database integration, API development, and writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
This is primarily a backend-focused role, so we are looking for someone who enjoys working on server-side logic, APIs, databases, integrations, and application architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using Python.
- Build and maintain web applications and backend services using Django.
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs.
- Work with databases, including designing queries, models, relationships, and data access layers.
- Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance backend services.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services as required.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and production issues.
- Write clean, reusable, well-structured, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
- Work closely with frontend developers, QA, product, and other engineering teams.
- Contribute to improving application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Write and maintain technical documentation and API documentation where required.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- Good working knowledge of Django.
- Experience developing REST APIs / RESTful web services.
- Good understanding of backend architecture and server-side development.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Understanding of API authentication, authorization, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON.
- Good understanding of Git/version control.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
Good to Have
- Experience with Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Exposure to Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Experience with Redis, Celery, or background job processing.
- Knowledge of automated testing and frameworks such as PyTest or unittest.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with microservices or distributed systems.
- Basic understanding of frontend technologies is an advantage, but this is primarily a backend role.
Experience
1-2 years of relevant experience in Python/backend development.
Candidates with strong hands-on experience in Python, Django, and REST API development will be preferred.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is strong in backend fundamentals, not just someone who has worked with Python as a scripting language. The candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of backend modules, developing APIs, working with databases, debugging issues, and collaborating with other developers.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
