Job Responsibilities:
- Allocate materials and assign work to laborers as per production requirements.
- Issue work slips to workers and ensure proper documentation of job assignments.
- Supervise daily production activities and ensure smooth workflow on the shop floor.
- Supervise the CNC Laser Cutting, Turret Punch, Bending & Shearing machines, as well as normal fabrication and welding equipment, including shot blasting and painting.
- Ensure proper utilization of machines and tools to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Maintain quality standards while optimizing production output.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager to achieve planned production targets.
- Monitor labor performance and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Work closely with stores and material management to ensure the availability of raw materials.
- Assist in maintaining machinery upkeep and coordinate minor maintenance tasks.
- Ensure workplace safety and compliance with company policies and guidelines.
Required Profile:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI in a relevant field preferred.
- 3-6 years of experience in sheet metal or fabrication industry.
- Basic knowledge of machine operations such as CNC Laser Cutting, Turret Punch, Bending & Shearing.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lead and coordinate with laborers effectively.
- Basic understanding of quality control procedures in production.
