Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated A/C Technician to join our Engineering team at a prestigious five-star business hotel in Trivandrum. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and building automation control systems. The role requires ensuring optimal performance of HVAC equipment to maintain guest comfort and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify faults in air conditioning and refrigeration equipment promptly.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC systems and maintain service records.
- Ensure proper operation of temperature control systems in guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and back-of-house facilities.
- Coordinate with the Engineering team during breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations.
- Monitor energy consumption and recommend measures to improve efficiency.
- Adhere to hotel safety standards, maintenance procedures, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain adequate inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Assist in commissioning new equipment and system upgrades as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in hotels, commercial buildings, hospitals, malls, or similar facilities.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, ALC/BMS controls, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and operation manuals.
- Basic computer knowledge and maintenance reporting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as per operational requirements.
