Role Overview
As a Software Engineer – Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable backend systems that power critical healthcare operations. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams to develop high-performance APIs, automation systems, and AI-enabled workflows. This role offers significant ownership and exposure to architecture decisions, platform scalability, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
● Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs using Node.js and MongoDB.
● Build reliable, secure, and high-performance systems capable of supporting increasing scale and complexity.
● Develop reusable services and backend components for multiple product initiatives and business verticals.
● Collaborate with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver quality products.
● Build and maintain integrations with internal and external systems.
● Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
● Optimize application performance, database queries, and overall backend efficiency.
● Troubleshoot production issues and improve application reliability and observability.
● Contribute to automation initiatives and AI-enabled workflows across business processes.
● Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and data privacy requirements.
● Stay updated with modern backend technologies and continuously improve engineering practices.
Mandatory Technical Skills
Candidates must have hands-on experience with:

● Strong proficiency in Node.js
● Experience with Express.js or similar frameworks
