We are looking for an experienced and practical Green Building & Sustainable Construction Trainer to help students understand sustainable construction practices, green building concepts, energy-efficient design, environmental considerations, and modern sustainable technologies used in the construction industry.
About the Role
We are seeking a Part-Time Trainer – Green Building & Sustainable Construction with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant industry or training experience.
The trainer will be responsible for delivering practical and engaging training on green building principles, sustainable materials, energy and water efficiency, waste management, environmental impact, green building standards, and sustainable construction practices.
The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of sustainable construction and be able to connect theoretical concepts with real-world construction projects, case studies, and industry practices.
The ability to communicate effectively in Telugu is mandatory, along with proficiency in English for professional and technical communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions on Green Building & Sustainable Construction.
- Explain the fundamentals and importance of green buildings and sustainable development.
- Introduce students to sustainable construction principles and practices.
- Explain concepts related to energy-efficient building design and construction.
- Teach learners about water conservation, rainwater harvesting, water-efficient systems, and reuse practices.
- Explain the selection and application of sustainable and eco-friendly construction materials.
- Train students on construction waste management, recycling, and resource efficiency.
- Explain concepts related to indoor environmental quality, natural lighting, ventilation, and occupant comfort.
- Introduce learners to renewable energy integration in buildings, including solar energy applications.
- Explain sustainable site planning, environmental impact reduction, and resource conservation.
- Introduce students to major green building rating systems and certification concepts, such as IGBC, LEED, and GRIHA.
- Explain the role of energy-efficient HVAC, lighting, insulation, and building systems in sustainable buildings.
- Discuss climate-responsive design and sustainable architectural practices.
- Use practical examples, industry case studies, and real-world green building projects to explain concepts.
- Guide students through practical assignments and sustainability-focused projects.
- Help learners understand how sustainability principles can be incorporated into different stages of construction.
- Explain emerging technologies and trends in sustainable construction and green building.
- Assess learner participation, assignments, and practical understanding.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance on student projects.
- Deliver explanations and learner support in Telugu wherever required to ensure effective understanding.
- Keep training content updated with evolving green building technologies, standards, regulations, and industry practices.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Green Building, Sustainable Construction, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of green building principles and sustainable construction practices.
- Practical knowledge of energy-efficient building design and construction.
- Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally friendly construction materials and technologies.
- Understanding of water conservation and management systems.
- Knowledge of construction waste management and resource efficiency.
- Understanding of renewable energy integration in buildings, particularly solar applications.
- Knowledge of indoor environmental quality, natural ventilation, daylighting, and thermal comfort.
- Familiarity with green building rating and certification systems, such as IGBC, LEED, and GRIHA.
- Understanding of sustainable site planning and environmental impact reduction.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Fluency in Telugu is mandatory.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and student-friendly manner.
- Comfortable conducting practical, activity-based, and project-oriented training.
- Ability to use real-world examples and case studies to explain sustainability concepts.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in English and explain them clearly in Telugu when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry or training experience.
- Experience working on green building, sustainable construction, energy-efficient building, or environmental projects.
- Experience with IGBC, LEED, GRIHA, or other green building certification systems will be an advantage.
- Relevant certifications in Green Building, Sustainability, Energy Management, or Environmental Engineering will be preferred.
- Experience training students or professionals from Telugu-speaking backgrounds will be preferred.
