Job description:
The Bakery Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the packaging operations in the bakery unit, ensuring that all products are packed efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards. The role includes managing staff, maintaining hygiene, meeting production targets, and ensuring proper labelling and dispatch readiness.
Job Location : Hadapsar Industrial Estate : Pune
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily packaging operations of bakery products (bread, cakes, pastries, etc.)
- Ensure packaging is done as per company standards and food safety guidelines
- Monitor product quality before and during packaging
- Manage and allocate packaging staff shifts and duties
- Ensure proper labeling (date, batch, expiry, price, etc.)
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the packaging area
- Coordinate with production and dispatch teams for smooth workflow
- Minimize wastage and control packaging material usage
- Handle basic troubleshooting of packaging equipment
- Maintain daily reports (production, wastage, manpower, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (FSSAI norms)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in bakery/food packaging operations
- Experience in handling team (10–20 staff preferred)
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
- Good communication and leadership skills
Education:
- Minimum: 12th Pass / Graduate
