Overview of the role
The Consultant in the RRF – R&F Risk Team will play a key role in supporting R&F Risk Global Offering leader and teams in the execution and operations across the global strategic plans and priorities than decisions that translates into marketplace impact and growth. Collaborating closely with the R&F Risk Program lead, the role will be dynamic and highly collaborative, the professional will help accelerate execution of our strategic agenda by delivering high impact strategic projects, simplifying and streamlining operations (reporting, PMO activities etc.)
Work you’ll do
As part of the Global Consulting Services USI team, the professional will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Member Firms, geographies, and service lines. The role requires developing a strong understanding of the Regulatory & Financial Risk (R&F Risk) business, its strategic priorities, and lead key performance drivers to support reporting – financials etc., identify value creation opportunities, monitor business trends, and proactively escalate risks or issues where appropriate.
The individual will partner with India-based teams and senior leadership across the R&F Risk and RRF practices, building a comprehensive understanding of the Consulting Services business and strategic objectives. This knowledge will be leveraged to generate actionable insights, identify emerging trends, and support informed decision-making through effective analysis and reporting.
The role involves analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data, synthesizing findings into meaningful insights, and demonstrating strong analytical, research, and communication skills. The professional will be responsible for developing compelling narratives and executive-level deliverables, including clear, data-driven recommendations based on research and analysis.
The individual will contribute to high-impact, high-visibility projects aligned to the strategic priorities of Global Consulting Services and firm leadership. Success in the role requires effective collaboration across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment, coordination, and timely execution of key initiatives. Strong project and program management capabilities are essential to drive delivery, manage stakeholder expectations, and achieve desired business outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the Global Program Lead to deliver priorities that create and protect value for Deloitte’s clients, scale the R&F Risk Offering, and build connections within SR&T, GCS pillars, and across the firm.
- Deliver accelerated success across deliverables aligning with GCS, leveraging the go-to-market, and enabling pillars (e.g., leadership meetings, pursuits and sales excellence, KPIs, assets and technology, market eminence, community management etc.).
- Gain and utilise functional knowledge of the required internal reporting tools for revenue, sales, and pipeline tracking.
- Conduct data driven analysis (quantitative and qualitative) to provide meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
- Drive standardization and business continuity as well as identify commonalities that can be shared as best practices and identify operational efficiencies (provide suggestions/automations to enhance deliverables).
- Demonstrate solid project management skills, with the ability to seamlessly co-ordinate/switch between different workstreams.
- Support senior executives in developing executive level documents (PowerPoint presentations, Excel reports, Power BI dashboards, etc.) for senior leadership utilizing story boarding skills.
- Develop knowledge of the business and priority initiatives to share insights and trends as appropriate.
- Be a proactive participant in a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative culture across SR&T and be a people champion. Collaborate effectively across the SR&T portfolio to deliver incremental impact across Special Projects.
- Support meeting planning and execution, including drafting agenda, organizing online and offline meetings and document MoM for follow up and accountability.
- Support operational needs of the team, including maintaining and running recurring projects independently
Requisite core skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare leadership ready materials that “tell-the-story” succinctly and logically; ability to flex the communication and messaging to the audience and context.
- Strong project management and time management skills; ability to work independently under pressure, and on multiple assignments while maintaining top quality deliverables.
- Strong core consulting skills – i.e., research, financial analysis, business writing, including logical data structuring and proficiency in storyboarding techniques to derive meaningful insights.
- Strong business communication skills, capable of building effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across levels and across multiple business areas, functions, and geographies in a largely virtual environment.
- Highly developed personal and professional ethics are expected.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with strong attention to detail and best in class deliverables.
- Added advantage: Knowledge and previous experience in innovation, strategy & operations, transformational roles.
Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing
We are looking for a passionate, high energy, and self-motivated individual who is accustomed to working independently and collaboratively on small and large projects in a close-knit team.
- Academic qualification: Master’s Degree like MBA
- Work experience: 4+ years of relevant experience
- Strong track record with previous employment, preferably with consulting firms or corporate strategy
- Location: Hyderabad
- Comfortable working with team members and stakeholders across geographies and time zones
- Work hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM and 02:00 PM – 11:00 PM (expected to be flexible with time zones)
- Working from office: The individual is expected to come to office at least 2 days a week as per the ‘work from office’ schedule
