Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CFBC Boiler DCS Engineer to operate and monitor CFBC Boiler systems through the Distributed Control System (DCS) at RCCPL, Yavatmal. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of boiler operations, combustion control, plant safety, and thermal power plant processes. Candidates with NPTI and BOE certifications and hands-on experience in CFBC Boiler operations will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CFBC Boiler parameters through the DCS in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain stable boiler operation by controlling combustion, steam pressure, temperature, furnace draft, and bed temperature.
- Optimize boiler efficiency while ensuring compliance with operational procedures and safety standards.
- Monitor fuel feeding, ash handling, air distribution, and auxiliary equipment performance.
- Coordinate with field operators during plant start-up, shutdown, emergency handling, and routine operations.
- Identify process abnormalities and initiate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, BOE guidelines, and company safety procedures.
- Record operational data, prepare shift reports, and maintain log sheets accurately.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams.
- Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of operational issues.
- Ensure environmental compliance related to emissions and boiler performance.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), permit-to-work systems, and emergency response protocols.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in CFBC Boiler DCS Operations.
- Strong understanding of boiler combustion, steam generation, and thermal power plant operations.
- Knowledge of DCS platforms and process control systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with interlocks, alarms, trip logic, and emergency operating procedures.
- Good communication, coordination, and shift management skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Mandatory Requirements
- BE/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- NPTI Certificate – Mandatory.
- Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) Certificate – Mandatory.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in CFBC Boiler DCS operations within a Thermal Power Plant.
- Strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in cement captive power plants or large-scale thermal power plants.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency, boiler performance optimization, and process improvement.
- Ability to handle emergency situations with confidence and ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Team-oriented professional with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹660,000.00 per year
