We are currently hiring an Assistant Professor – Business Computer Applications to join our academic team at our partner universities in Jamshedpur.
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable faculty member with expertise in Computer Applications and Business Technology to deliver industry-oriented education to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical knowledge, effective classroom delivery skills, and the ability to connect theoretical concepts with real-world business applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom lectures and practical sessions on Business Computer Applications.
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students using interactive and industry-focused methodologies.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, assignments, assessments, and study materials.
- Conduct practical lab sessions and hands-on workshops.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, projects, and presentations.
- Mentor students for academic projects, internships, and career development.
- Participate in curriculum planning, academic activities, faculty meetings, and examinations.
- Incorporate emerging technologies and industry trends into classroom teaching.
- Support placement initiatives, industry interaction programs, and academic events.
- Maintain academic records and ensure timely completion of course deliverables.

- Advanced Excel & Tally is a must
- Database Management Systems (DBMS)

- Business Analytics (Basic Concepts)

Eligibility CriteriaEducational Qualification
- Master's Degree in Commerce (M. Com), Master's Degree in Computer Applications (MCA), Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Mandatory).
- NET/SET qualification or Ph.D. will be an added advantage (as per university norms).
Experience
- 1–5 years of teaching experience in higher education or relevant industry experience.
- Fresh candidates with excellent academic credentials and strong subject knowledge may also apply.
Required Skills
- Strong command of Advanced Excel, MS Office Suite, and Computer Applications.
- Good knowledge of DBMS, SQL, MIS, and Business Computing concepts.
- Familiarity with Tally Prime, ERP software, and Business Analytics tools is preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication and classroom presentation skills.
- Strong mentoring and student engagement abilities.
- Ability to simplify technical concepts into practical learning experiences.
- Proficiency in digital teaching platforms and modern instructional techniques.
